Douglas Erwin Bollinger is a professional Australian Cricketer who has played a lot of First-class cricket for New South Wales.

He was a part of the Australian team after the retirement of Glenn McGrath.

He is Left Handed Batsman and a good Left arm Medium fast bowler.

Background

He played for Chennai Super Kings for three IPL seasons.

He has also played for Worcestershire County Club in England. He has Played the Domestic T20 for teams like Hobart Hurricanes, Sydney Sixers, and Sydney Thunder.

He started playing and was recognized as a budding player when he was 15 and played at Seven Hills Toongabbie RSL Cricket Club.

Debut

Doug Bollinger made his First-class debut for New South Wales in 2002–03.

He made his Test debut against South Africa at Sydney Cricket Ground on Jan 3, 2009, in the third Test of the series.

In the same year, he made his ODI debut against Pakistan at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on April 24, 2009.

In the same series, he made his first five-wicket haul and picked up 5/35. He was named the Man of the Match for the same.

He made his T20 debut against South Africa at Newlands on Oct 13, 2011.

In 2010, Bollinger was signed for the Chennai Super Kings franchise for the 2010 IPL season.

He made his IPL debut against Rajasthan Royals at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Apr 03, 2010 for Chennai Super Kings.

Achievements and Records

While representing New South Wales in the 2004–05 season, in an ING Cup match he picked up a hat-trick which helped to dismiss Redbacks' brittle top order.

His first ODI five-wicket haul came in his debut series against Pakistan in 2009. He picked up 5/35 and won the Man of the Match award.

In the second of three Tests against the West Indies in 2009, he took 5 wickets in the match at Adelaide.
